Product Description:
This product is a two-pack, solvent-based, inorganic zinc silicate primer. The dry film zinc content meets the Category 2 requirements for dry film zinc content in paint in the HG/T3668-2020 standard.
Our BGIZ-70 Inorganic Silicate Zinc Rich Primer Paint offers customers an unparalleled solution for corrosion protection in harsh environments. Crafted with high-quality inorganic silicate and zinc-rich materials, our primer paint provides exceptional adhesion, corrosion resistance, and durability, making it ideal for use on steel structures, bridges, and industrial equipment. Compared to other zinc-rich primers, our BGIZ-70 variant boasts superior performance in preventing rust and corrosion, ensuring long-lasting protection for your assets. Choose our primer paint for reliable corrosion resistance and enhanced durability, safeguarding your investments and extending the lifespan of your equipment.
Product Usage:
It can be used with a variety of high-performance coating systems and topcoats, and can be used as anti-corrosion primer for steel structures such as dock facilities, refineries, bridges, etc.
Physical parameters:
color: gray
Volume solid content: 25±2%
Standard film thickness: Dry film: 50 microns Wet film: 200 microns
Theoretical coating rate: 2.9㎡/kg, 5㎡/L (based on 50 micron dry film)
Actual Coverage Rate: Consider Appropriate Loss Factors
Flash point: 18±2℃(after mixing)
Construction Instructions:
Surface treatment:
All surfaces to be coated should be clean, dry and free of contamination. Before painting, all surfaces should be assessed and treated according to ISO 8504:2000 standards. If grease is present, it should be solvent cleaned to SSPC-SP1 standards. The steel surface is blast treated to Sa2.5 (ISO8501-1:2007) or SSPC-SP6 standards. If oxidation occurs on the steel surface after blasting but before application of this product, the surface should be reblasted to the specified visual standards. Surface defects exposed during blasting should be ground, filled or treated in an appropriate manner.
Welds and damaged areas should be blast treated to meet Sa2.5 (ISO8501-1:2007) or SSPC-SP6 standards.
Recommended surface roughness is 30-50 microns.
The substrate temperature should not be lower than 5℃ and should be at least 3℃ higher than the air dew point temperature. Usually inorganic zinc-rich coatings require moisture for the curing reaction. When the ambient humidity is lower than 65%, artificial humidification of the surrounding environment is performed to increase the ambient humidity.
Mix:
This product is supplied in two parts, the paste component (Component A) and the liquid base component (Component B). The liquid base (Part B) should be slowly added to the paste component (Part A) while stirring with a mechanical stirrer. Paste ingredients must not be added to the liquid base. The paint should be filtered before application and should be stirred continuously during spraying. Once a set of coatings is mixed, it should be used within the specified pot life.
