Base treatment and construction methods
1.Substrate treatment
1.1 This product is mainly suitable for use on the surface of wood, such as wood boards, plywood, fiberboard and other base materials. It can also be used on non-load-bearing metal surfaces, such as fireproof treatment of ventilation ducts.
1.2 Before construction, thoroughly check the base material for dust, oil stains, water stains and other factors that may affect the quality of the coating. Construction can begin only after the inspection shows that there are no problems.
2. Apply fire retardant paint
2.1 When opening the packaging on site, you must use an electric stirrer to stir until the consistency is uniform. If the material is too thick, add a small amount of neutral water until it is suitable for brushing, but it should not exceed 5% of the paint volume.
2.2 This coating can be applied by brush, roller or spray. Each pass should be applied alternately horizontally, vertically and horizontally to ensure it is even and smooth.
2.3 Construction temperature and humidity requirements
When applying this paint, it should be used between 15~25℃ and relative humidity ≤80%. High humidity or low temperature will prolong drying time and cause poor film adhesion and reduction of other properties.
2.4 The amount of paint used in the first coat is about 0.1kg/m2.
2.5 After the first coat is basically dry, apply the next coat until the specified thickness is reached. The dosage of each coat is approximately 0.1kg/m2.
2.6 Under normal temperature conditions, the construction interval should be more than 4 hours; if the temperature is too high or too low, the construction interval can be adjusted appropriately.
Precautions
1. The surface of the base material should be cleaned before construction, and there should be no oil stains, water marks, dust, etc. on the surface.
2. This coating shall not be mixed with other coatings or base materials, and shall not be used after adding other ingredients.
3. Unused paint should be sealed and stored for reuse.
4. This product is limited to indoor use. It is mainly suitable for use on the surface of wood, such as wood boards, plywood, fiberboard and other base materials. It can also be used on non-load-bearing metal surfaces, such as fireproof treatment of ventilation ducts.
